A bear wanders through a Pacific Northwest forest at night. Each animal Bear meets sees something different: Owl sees a full moon. Raccoon sees a wedge tool. Bat sees a sleeping bag. A friend asks: do you want to be all these things? Bear says yes.
The Bear Becomes Ptsi·nɬ was written in Miluk first, following Miluk storytelling conventions, then translated into English. Miluk is an indigenous language of the southern Oregon coast.
